Meet a Reticulated Python named Medusa, who takes the tittle of the biggest snake in the world owned by Full Moon Productions, a company who runs a haunted house called The Edge of Hell in Kansas City, Missouri. This huge snake entertains and scares the visitors of this attraction.
At 25 feet 2 inches (7.67 meters) long, Medusa is the world’s biggest snake ever to be kept in captivity. She is 8 years old and weights an amazing 350 pounds (158.8 kg).
A huge snake like that certainly eats a lot. Her menu consists of a combination of rabbits, hogs and deer, served to her every two weeks. It is very important to keep her well fed, because if that’s not the case, snake’s behavior can be unpredictable.”We try to keep Medusa well-fed and slightly out of reach as there have been instances with Reticulated Pythons where they’ve had to cut people out of them! We never underestimate that she does always have the upper-hand.”, says Edge of Hell’s general manager, Larry Edgar.
