Their second studio album, No Strings Attached, was released on March 21, 2000, and it went on to sell over 2.4 million copies in the first week of its release. This magnificent number scored them the record for biggest first week album sales ever in the US, that they still hold today, and it was the first album to sell over two million copies in one week. Demand for the album was so big, that their label, Jive Records, shipped over 4.2 million records in the first week. The album went on to sell over 11 million records domestically.
