This translates into big budgets for a lot of movies, which in turn guarantees a huge payday for everyone involved, especially the lead roles.

10. Mark Wahlberg – $32 million
Wahlberg’s earnings are combination of his previous successful movies such as 2012′s “Ted,” as well as smart investments. For example, along with one of the richest rappers in the world – Diddy – he co-owns a brand of bottled smart water called AQUAhydrate. Of course, he is also a TV producer. His company produced two well-known TV shows – “Entourage” and “Boardwalk Empire.”
9. Will Smith – $32 million
Will Smith has a lot of star power, especially overseas. Even when the movies where he’s in misfires, his fans are still going to watch it most likely. For example, his latest movie, “After Earth,” made only $60 million domestically, but overseas it made over triple the amount at $183 million.
8. Christian Bale – $35 million
Bale is raking in nice amounts from many of his movies. From playing Batman to second Oscar nomination for “American Hustle,” to playing Moses in the upcoming movie “Exodus,” it feels Christian Bale has been winning a lot lately.
7. Ben Affleck – $35 million
While internet turned against him after Warner Bros. announced that he’ll be the next Batman saying he’s not worthy of the role, but he might have the last laugh. He got a huge paycheck for the upcoming movie and if it reaches projected success, he will have steady work for many years to come.
6. Liam Neeson – $36 million
He might not be as popular with younger generations, but he certainly doesn’t lack the talent. When Hollywood needs a skillful actor they call Neeson. His successful series of movies continue with “Taken 3,” which means he’ll continue to decent money in the future as well.
5. Chris Hemsworth – $37 million
Chris had a very successful few years, mainly thanks to the success of “Thor.” However, he has more upcoming movies in the works, such as “Cyber,” which have good potential.
4. Leonardo DiCaprio – $39 million
It’s interesting to think that “The Wolf of Wall Street” was a partial risk for Leonardo. He had to cut his upfront fee to get this movie made. However, $395 million and five Oscar nominations actor, it seems he made a great bet on himself. He had another hit this year – “The Great Gatsby” – which earned over $350 globally.
3. Bradley Cooper – $46 million
Cooper is probably best known for his work in the lucrative “Hangover” franchise. With a lot of money coming his way from that franchise, he has the ability to take risks and take roles in much smaller movies, such as “American Hustle” and ”Silver Linings Playbook.” Despite not being huge blockbuster movies, both made solid profits and even earned him Oscar nominations.

One of the biggest guys in Hollywood has equally big earnings. With movies like “Fast and Furious” and “G.I. Joe,” he become a true star. Not only is he popular on the big screen, but he’s a smart businessman as well. He saw the potential in TV shows, and decided to produce and star in the HBO comedy about a group of football players called “Ballers.”

It’s time to meet the king of our list and the highest-paid actor of 2016. His Iron Man movies were extremely successful, and “The Avengers” is the third highest-grossing movie of all time. This, of course, meant he had a lot of bargaining chips for the upcoming “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and he made sure he’ll have a nice payday.
